ACCL Director was invited as a special guest speaker at the Lowell Community Charter public school, LCCPS where he participated in the 1st grade-4th grade as well as 5th – 8th grade sessions during the school’s Black History Month celebration. ACCL Director visited the Boys & Girls Club of Lowell, where he read to a group of students from different schools. Students had a discussion after the reading and each took turns sharing what they learned from Parsley's Great Adventure book. ACCL Director, Mr. Gordon Halm, recently visited UMASS Lowell Manning School of Business and was given the opportunity by Lecturer and Director of First-Year Experience, Professor Deborah Finch, Ed.D. to speak with the students about the state of the ACCL center, its successes, challenges and a road map for sustainability. He challenged the students to share any ideas that they may have to help build the center.
