Youth program fostering skills for school, cultural pride, and self-confidence

Each summer ACCL offers a summer program for youth (especially those who have immigrated from Africa), seeking to instill cultural pride, build skills for success in school, and enhance self-confidence.

The following activities are usually offered:

Traditional Games -- improve logical thinking, cultural literacy, and self-esteem

Study Skills -- prepare youth to succeed in school and understand the expectations the school system will have

Visiting local African-owned businesses -- inspire youth about what they can achieve

Life Skills -- enable students to thrive in the Greater Lowell environment

Community Building - build bonds of mutual support among immigrant youth
